Removing Background From Picture 2

There are several methods to extracting (removing an object from it's background).

Simple Background, but not solid color - Background Eraser

  1. Open your image
  2. Hold down Alt and double click the background layer
  3. Select the Background Eraser Tool (under the Eraser Tool (E))
  4. In the option Toolbar (top of your screen under File/Edit/Image...) change the brush size to about 150
  5. Click around the edge of your image with circle slightly inside the edge What's happening is that wherever the cross in the middle of the circle is, well that's what color you're erasing. If it's erasing too much (part of the image too), then change the "tolerance" lower. If it's not erasing enough, then change the "tolerance" to a higher number.
  6. Select the Eraser Tool and erase everything else

You now have extracted your image!
